Nicaragua One Day Tour

Explore the main attractions of Nicaragua, our neighboring country, on a day trip from Costa Rica full of culture, history and unforgettable landscapes.

We will start early with an early pick up at your hotel to head towards the Nicaraguan border. After the immigration process, a day full of authentic experiences awaits us. The first stop will be at a small local restaurant in front of Lake Nicaragua, where you can have breakfast while admiring the two volcanoes that emerge from Ometepe Island, the largest lake island in the world, known as the “Sacred Place” where the gods dwelled.

Then, we will drive through picturesque villages until we reach the Catarina Volcano viewpoint, from where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the dormant volcano and its crater lake. You will have time to buy handicrafts at the stalls run by locals. Continue to Granada, a colonial jewel full of vibrant colors and rich history. There we will enjoy a typical lunch and take a horse-drawn carriage tour of the city. In addition, we will sail through Las Isletas, an archipelago of more than 365 islands in Lake Nicaragua, where you can observe monkeys, birds and other species.

The last stop will be in San Juan del Sur, a famous coastal destination with panoramic views from the statue of Jesus, similar to the one in Brazil. After this exciting day, we return by bus to Costa Rica, offering you a quiet ride to rest.
